my parents came over for dinner the other night (for a delicious vegan meal) and flanagan really enjoyed their company. this probably shouldn’t be acceptable behavior at the dinner table but we tend to allow flanagan to get away with things he really shouldn’t. really the one in this picture in need of discipline is my mother for petting him at the table…sheesh. ...

i apologize for my extended absence but holy canoli i think the stress of trying to think of a blog post essentially completely incapacitated me. i’ll just put this out there so it’s common knowledge – my life is pretty boring, and i mean that in the greatest possible way. yes, i live with 16 dogs but dogs are creatures of habit and so they do the same thing day in and day out and are rather uninteresting. i apparently need to work harder to make something out of nothing which i guess means...

i’m in awe of flanagan and all the progress he’s made in the 3 months we’ve had him. he’s overcome a lot and made enormous changes. speck has greatly helped (she’s got to earn her keep somehow) and my obsessive hug therapy (patent pending) seems to be cracking him. speck and he spend a good half hour every morning after breakfast chasing each other around the house like lunatics. that’s enormous progress and very dog-like. this morning i turned around and...

flanagan is slowly but surely becoming a dog. in the last week we’ve learned that he loves to play tug of war, he wags his tail constantly, you cannot take a bad picture of him and his previous owners treated him worse than originally thought (unimaginable isn’t it).
