Bought the martingale collar nearly a year ago--not sure if Earthdog has the best business model, as it appears I may never have to buy another one! Dave & Kym are absolutely great and they made the recommendation based on what I was looking for and asked a lot of questions about breed/weight/temper, etc.. All this for just a simple collar! Cheers!

Love these Martingale collars. My dog is super afraid of collars that "click" when you put them on. She will even cry out in fear if you "click" one on her. But slide one of these on and no worries! I've used them for many years. They are super soft & comfortable after a wash or two and they really last. Thanks Earthdog!!
I ordered 2 martingale collars (medium astrid and medium sage) about 6 years ago for my collie mix and my pit bull mix. This is the perfect collar for both the sleek head and the block head--easy to put on and remove despite the variance in head type. The collars keep my pups secure when out for a walk, are soft and comfortable for them to wear, and wash and dry perfectly. The many choices available in the decorative hemp made matching my pup's personality with a colorful collar easy and fun.
Earth Dog collars look great and are well made. Another big advantage of hemp is that it does not hold odors like nylon. Martingale collars are my favorite walking and training collars. Martingale collars are great collars for securely controlling your dog. (Not choking them) There are no buckles to break. When fitted properly it prevents the dog from backing out of the collar. For most dogs a proper fit is when the leash is tightened and the two metal rings touch and not constrict on the dogs neck while still leaving room for you to place two fingers under the collar. It should be fitted just tight enough that the dog cannot back out of it. Once the collar is fitted correctly it should slip over the head easily without the need to loosen. Martingales collars should not be left on unsupervised dogs. Instead use a standard buckle collar like the Earth Dog adjustable collars.
