I have two, two and half year old Borzoi males, the hemp collars are great in that they are very strong , but not cutting like a nylon Martingale. Because they are softer, they tend to wear-out at about a year. the fabric begins to tear at the buckets from the stress. I still like them very much. I also purchased the hem 6 ft leases and am extremely happy with them in that they do not put or cut like nylon. This is my third set of collars, since we received the dogs as puppies. I like earth dog products.

We have this tangerine color in the regular collar and for the martingale collar. I reviewed this collar in the Owney style, too...we love it. I refuse to use anything other than a martingale to walk my girl Honey, and these are perfect as they are easily adjusted to the perfect size and are lightweight but sturdy. VERY comfy...and cool looking. We definitely win the style award in our neighborhood (if we do say so on our own behalf! ha). Love Earthdog products. Plus the people are super nice and helpful. You can't go wrong.

I have the medium size of this collar in gray for my 40 pound Australian Cattle Dog, and I can not say enough wonderful things about it. It is softer than any nylon collar, and has only gotten softer the more my dog has worn it. The color is fabulous, and it has not faded even with repeated exposure to water, mud, and who knows what else. I have had mine for about 2 years now, and it has been on many hikes with my dog and I, gotten drenched with water, rolled around in the mud, and has handled rough play at the dog park as well as countless foster puppies. After it gets dirty I just rinse it off with water and it looks good as new! I purchased the martingale specifically for hiking because I like the added security of a collar I know my dog can't back out of. My dog is off leash a lot of the time on the trail, but when she is leashed I like her to stay that way, and the martingale makes sure of that. I love Earthdog and everything they stand for, and they have absolutely incredible products!

Having heard about Earthdog from a friend, I was excited to order the hemp martingale collar (natural). It arrived promptly and everything looked good, including the custom addition of a quick release buckle. Unfortunately, I miscalculated when figuring how that would affect the sizing, so it was too large & my dog was able to back out of it. I was preparing to donate the collar to rescue when Earthdog reached out by email to check my satisfaction...imagine my surprise when they offered to adjust the sizing at no extra charge, even though it was due to my own error! All I had to do was package it up & ship it to them. They turned it around promptly, and with the adjustment it's perfect. This company stands behind their product!



The collar is so much softer than the synthetics, sturdy, & comfortable for my pup to wear. With the quick-release buckle, it's the perfect martingale as far as I'm concerned.



If you're on the fence, don't hesitate to purchase from Earthdog...I know I will be again, in future! :)
